Set sail into the beauty of watercolor with this inspiring workshop taught by local artist Nancy Pierce. Participants will explore watercolor techniques while creating a colorful nautical scene filled with glowing skies, reflections on the water, and graceful sailboats.

Nancy will guide students step-by-step through the painting process, sharing tips on blending color, creating depth, and capturing the peaceful mood of a lakeside sunset. This class is designed to be fun, relaxing, and encouraging for all skill levels — from beginners to experienced artists looking to enjoy a creative day of painting.

Come enjoy a day of creativity, learning, and watercolor magic with the Port Clinton Artists’ Club!

Artist Bio

Art is my passion. From earliest memories to the present, it’s been a large part of my being. I’ve either studied in school, taken workshops, or practiced on my own.

I became a commercial artist for a number of years, working for the printing industry and as a freelancer for newspapers and magazines. I also taught through several junior colleges.

After retirement I began learning watercolor, falling in love with it.

I continue to develop my skills, as well as picking up the use of other water media. And I’m an active member of a local Plien Air group organized by Rick Ziak

My work is exhibited and sold through various venues and art contests, as well.
