Over two immersive sessions, you’ll focus on essential drawing elements such as facial structure, shadows, depth, and texture. In the first class, you’ll develop a strong foundation by mapping out facial proportions and defining the structure with precise shading to create depth. The second session takes your work to the next level with fine details, lifelike textures, and soft pastel techniques to add style and dimensionality. Instructor Bio

Graduating from the College of Saint Rose in Albany NY with a Bachelor in Fine Arts, Bruce is grounded in the arts when it comes to design. Being able to present an answer for what he does is fundamental to his approach. Studio and fine art complete the circle within the world of visual art for Bruce.

His commitment to design principals and effective solutions helps maintain a standard of crisp visual communication within design. On the other end, representational expressionism is conveyed through his fine art and energy through mark making is conveyed in his style.

His focus within fine art has been people and the human form, however, social commentary has found its way into many of his works that have been recognized. He has won “Up and Coming Artist of the Year” by the Chozen Awards for the city of Atlanta and numerous mentions and awards for his work in the design and illustration field.

He has been a designer professionally for 15 years and though he has taken commissions for fine art for well over a decade he has viewed it as more of a lifelong endeavor. He has had pieces shown in Washington D.C. and Artist Trifecta Gallery in Atlanta and he is currently working on a series with the intention of showing in Ohio. Meanwhile, he currently takes commission and draws live (at times with both hands at once) as diners view and eat at his and his family’s steakhouse near Canton, Ohio located in Massillon.
