‘CHEERFUL  FLOWERS’ on a 8×10″ flat board canvas. (This one can be painted on any size canvas)
NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED! For begineers. No pattern needed.
‘HAPPY DOLPHIN’  Painted on a 10×10″ Gallery wrapped canvas.
For the intermediate student.  Pattern available in class.
‘BIRD OF PARADISE’  Painted on a 8×16″ Gallery wrapped canvas.
For the more advanced student.  Pattern available in class.
‘SWEET NECTOR’  Painted on a 11″ X 14″ Gallery wrapped canvas.
For the Advanced student.   Pattern available in class.

NOTICE!!!
ALL 3 OF THE PAINTINGS EXCEPT FOR ‘CHEERFUL FLOWERS’, I USED MODELING PASTE TO GIVE THE PAINTINGS A 3-D LOOK.
It is not necessary to do so if you prefer not to use it.  I used ‘LIQUITEX FLEXIBLE MODELING PASTE’.  I get it from Amazon, it’s rather pricey, but it goes a long way.
Hope to see you in class ‘TO PAINT THE STRESS OF THE DAY AWAY’ together.

Artists Bio

When my husband & I were vacationing in Arizona in 2006 I became bored just sitting in the desert. I heard of a One-Stroke painting class at Michael’s in Yuma & decided to try it. I returned to Ohio & found that Donna Dewberry was conducting a course in Clevland teaching her One-Stroke techniques. After taking her course, I received her teaching certification. Since then, I have taken Oil courses from Priscilla Hauser & Dorothy Den in Florals & Landscapes & received their teaching certifications as well.

I have studied under Jim Dickens who developed an acrylic technique painting with a brush in both hands & Bill Kufahl, a well-known oil portrait artist.

I am an active member of the Port Clinton Artists’ Club and also a member of the Greater Port Clinton Area Art Council. I have won awards in numerous art shows, but my true love is teaching art & sharing what I’ve learned. In the past, I’ve taught art classes at Pat Catan’s and at my art gallery in Marblehead. At the present time, I can be found painting at my booth at The Art Garage (TAG) or at my art studio in Marblehead.

I am a firm believer that the Lord has given each of us a talent of some kind. Some just don’t realize it until later in life. I was in my early 60’s before I ever held a paintbrush in my hand. Looking back, it amazes me that I am where I am today all because of being bored while sitting in the desert one day while on vacation years ago.
